We can become
Merrily driving through countryside
Listing to music, having fun

Failing to notice
A BRAND NEW SIGN
That stated THE SPEED LIMIT
So received an $80 fine!!!

.....Her $100 for groceries
Will be $20 this week
The COST of stupidity
This memory she will keep

Whether old or doddery
Or as astute as can be

Placed for ALL to see!

Make excuses?
Or exaggerate THE TRUTH?
The camera on the roadside
Reveals FACTS. The proof

.....As a mother and grandmother
Who encourages what's GOOD
Gently WARNS her children
That they may do as they should

.....$30 every month
To St. John's Ambulance she donates
Also Save the children fund
And NOW The NZ police, of late

........Enclosed please find
An $80 cheque
For a SLOW DOWN SIGN
That may save A CAR WRECK

......And a big Thankyou
For inspiring this ditty
We appreciate you
Car accidents are never pretty

Keep up the good work
Stand tall, stand strong
To a beautiful country
We New Zealanders belong
