For The Very First Time

For the very First Time
She wore her NEW shoes
She walked for miles
Happily enjoying THE VIEWS

....Who had noticed
Her family were aware
That this lifelong frailty
Seldom did she share

Her beloved sister
Recognised her pain
"Supportive shoes" she said
As this stress must not remain

"My sister needs shoes
That will support her feet
Bring her body into alignment"
Get her off "That Old Seat"

The assistant was certain
The purple shoes were right
But these remained unused
In fact, out of sight

......This Sunday morning
She wore these ALL DAY
And would you believe
The saints for her did pray

Did she tell them
The pain she'd endured
Because of "This Affliction"
Much GRACE was imbued

Teach me Your Will, your Way..."

Now Elizabeth's feet are happy
In her supportive NEW shoes
She can express freely
The Greatness of The Good News.
