The Custom Officer spoke
With a great big smile
“One cat to be delivered”
In a wee while

When ALL the papers were signed
They placed a crate on their desk
“You may let him out “, they said
Wow! We were blest

He was so pleased to see us
It was love at first sight
He slept on the bed
Peacefully that first night

.....”I have a Papillion
I said with glee”
At first my sisters
Did not believe me

Where did he come from?
“Melbourne”, I replied
“The birthplace of our Grandmother”
Really they cried

Why are you surprised?
You will love him I’m sure
“Will you breed from him”, they asked
“Is that what you got him for”?

“Give him his childhood”
The vet had advised
This I told my sisters
They replied, “That’s wise”
