Hidden ThisHidden this day
In a cavern like cave
In her present predicament
She knew not how to be brave
It was dark and damp
But for the glow worms light
What was she doing here
Alone on this cold night
Had she lost her footing
And slid down the hill
Had she bumped her head
Thankfully she was alive still
A torch a candle
Any light would do
Even a box of matches
And some dry kindling, too
She heard the quiet gurgle
Of a distant stream
Then she realised
Where she had just been
…….In the green pastures
On an nice spring day
Full of hope and vision
Thinking she knew THE WAY
She neglected to read
The danger sign
“ERODING LAND”
That all here was not fine
Without knowledge or protection
She wandered away
From the safe area
To where she was that day
……she fumbled in her pocket
For her Mobile phone
No reply to her call!
She felt isolated, so alone
……..she sat on a wet rock
Who could hear her cry?
If I am not found
Surely I will die
‘Help’, she wailed
But no one was there
To her Maker, she cried
“Please tell someone, I’m here”
…….she woke up days later
In a strange warm bed
“Where am I she said”?
With a rather sore head
The sniffer dogs found you
The nurse answered with relief
You have suffered hypothermia
But your mishap, was brief
The nurse was reassuring
“Your trauma you will share
That which you’ve experienced
Will help others become more AWARE”
