Faith trusted completely

Faith trusted completely
And hope felt great expectation
As they strolled with love
To the place of celebration

There they met laughter
And her cousin joy
These five handmaidens
Were in their Masters employ

The day had arrived
For the great Wedding Feast
All were invited
The rich, poor and the least

The lowest in importance
Could hardly believe
They also were invited
To attend and just receive

Faith, hope and love
Stood at the door
Greeted the guests
The lost wounded and sore…

Their demeanour
Their behaviour their glance
The radiance they portrayed
By their body language, their stance
Made each guest
Very aware
Just why they were invited
And why they were now here.

Laughter and joy
Mingled amongst the guests
As everyone was seated
Their whole being came to rest

Faith hope and love
Gently took their place
Beside their Master
The Creator of the Human Race

Heaven and earth
Were entwined as one
As these redeemed souls
Sought for His will to be done.

Faith hope and love
Bowed their heads
The greatest is love
Their Master gently said.
