What Have We Got To Lose

What have we got to lose
By telling THE TRUTH
The life we lead
Is absolute proof
Whether or not
The NINE FRUITS are displayed
With Christ like demeanour
Are we beautifully arrayed?

Does our behaviour
Inflict much pain?
We are 100 per cent responsible
When yielded to the ‘lash out’ refrain

It’s not about being right
It’s about being hurtful or cruel
When we destroy another emotionally
We fail to obey God’s LOVE RULE

One’s partner in life
Is to be RESPECTED not attacked
Never blame or make excuses
No matter how one lacks or acts

Emotional abuse
Destroys and repels
One’s mouth reveals attitude
And lack of maturity, it tells

When hurt and frustrated
To lash out angrily
Even when the victim
Of infidelity
This will destroy
Any vestige of hope
As we hang ourselves
With our own ‘OUT OF CONTROL’ rope

…All relationships are changed
By the inside out…
First step, TOTAL HONESTY
And THE CHOICE, never to clout
