This Is The Short Story

This is the Short Story
Of a charmed life
Intermingled with sorrows
Joys happiness and strife

.....I belong to family
Who are astute and kind
My husband of forty seven years
To my needs is not blind

Six awesome grandchildren
Two married daughters and a son
A lovely daughter-in-law
These all keep life busy and fun

Three of these are teachers
Margaret a midwife and nurse
Michael a computer engineer
Hence the website for this verse

.....Weekends I spend at Waitakere
Weekdays in the town
Being the’float lady’ for the family
All the year round

.....Does a seventy year old need a doctor?
Maybe, maybe not
We all need to be reminded
Of those simple issues we forgot!

.....My two sisters and brother
Were all raised on A FARM
When I am on their land
I cherish natures flow and calming balm

Worked for Salvation Army
Assisting with personal cares
For many WONDERFUL people
These last twelve years

Spent A Lifetime in Early childhood
And with those with special needs
But as a caregiver in Residential Care
Most rewarding indeed
