She knelt before her Maker
As words could never express
Christchurch again shaken!
Thousands can no longer rest

Ruins everywhere - So sad to behold
This beautiful Garden City - Has a Heritage that is so old

As it is in the natural
So it is with your church
We are not abandoned
For your comfort we search

It’s winter and cold
Many without power
Without essential services
Oh Father, what now?

.....Out of THE ASHES
Your people will arise
You perceive THE HORROR
You HEAR our cries

As it is in the natural
His church He will restore
With strength power and beauty
Never seen before

The Conductor looked sorrowful
When He opened her carriage door
“The people are weary
They can’t take anymore”
