What Is Wrong With Your Eye?

“What is wrong with your eye”?
I asked with concern
Our time with the optician
Proved I had much to learn
As this 84 year old
Refused to go in a wheel chair
So I held her arm securely
And safely we arrived there

…She paid for her NEW lense
And DIED the next week
So I wrote to THE COUNCIL
Their mercy I did seek
As I had off loaded her
Outside the Opticians door
From a ‘goods loading zone’
Which this SPACE was for

…They gave me A PARDON
Maybe they felt compassion for me
As it’s THE FIRST TIME I’ve lost a client
So very suddenly

I’ve learn’t not to off load
A human being at a LOADING ZONE
Next time I’ll call an ambulance
And make the situation clearly known

…Thankyou for your pardon
I promise you faithfully
I will not make the same mistake
AS YOU HAVE TREATED ME GRACIOUSLY
