LOCKDOWN! Don't Frown.....

Lockdown! Don't frown
Not all bad you'll see
We have come to the realisation
This may well be

A TIME to STOP and REFLECT
Ponder, then routines reset
A time we will look back on
And never forget

.......Have we taken for granted
All that's been given for FREE
All that surrounds us
That hasn't cost, one penny

It is not THE THINGS
Items we buy online
But THE PLEASURE we gain
From loved ones, over time

Lives with busyness
And unnecessary stress?
When the obvious answer is
May simply be, DO LESS

.......LETS STOP and JUST BE
Connect with our friends
Listen and laugh
And make AMENDS

Do we find ourselves
In this time of change
Searching for things
To be entertained?

So let me suggest
For just a little bit
That it's not all that bad
To feel bored, and just sit!

Back in the day
This is all we knew
When bored we came up
With ingenious things to do

We didn't have google
Or Siri to ask
We simple found our own way
To find and accomplish a task

We built things and played
We mucked around
We didn't freak out
If the Internet was down

Let me finish by saying
Now this situation has arisen
We have been given a gift
So why not STOP and LISTEN

.......We are truly sorry
For all the lives lost
LIVING OUR BEST is honourable
Whatever the cost

LOVE and LISTEN
Spend time to just PAUSE
As this "Season" is precious
And it is, all YOURS
