Is My Candle Flickering?

Is my candle flickering
And threatening to go out?
You alone OUR FATHER
Know what THIS TRAGEDY is all about

Oh the frailty of our existence
When faced with the ‘Forces of Nature’
For those left behind
A very catastrophic picture

…‘Comfort, yes bring comfort
To my people’, you say
YOUR WORD STANDS FOREVER
Even in these dark days (Isaiah Ch 40 verse 1)

You give power to the weak
And our strength you increase
That ORDER will be established
And further trauma cease

You will hold our right hand
And gently speak (Isaiah Ch 41 verse 13)
‘FEAR NOT I WILL HELP YOU
In these next challenging weeks’
