She Stood On The Platform

She stood on The Platform
Had The train come and gone?
She snuggled into her coat
Something was oh so wrong?

She stared at her watch
Then observed the tall fence
Was she late or early
Nothing was making any sense.

What had happened ?
Had A natural disaster occurred?
Had she slept through it?
Much seemed strangely blurred

......The Book of Revelation
Expressed end time disasters
In this era of technology
News gets around much faster

......She sat on the seat
And wondered a lot
Would the train arrive?
Maybe? Maybe not!

A very grey cloud
Hung over her thoughts
Subtly threatening
All she'd been taught

.......way in the distance
A lone figure appeared
A slight Ray of Hope
But soon disappeared.

Suddenly she was whisked
Onto an oncoming train
The Conductor didn't hesitate
Or stop to explain

...... Haters and accusers
Were no where to be found
His Sons & Daughters
She beheld all around

She rubbed her eyes
Shook her head
Removed her heavy coat
Flopped on her bed

........In her cosy Carriage
She wept with gratitude
To be Whisked away SO FAST
Some would view as being rude

........"Yes good people can suffer"
The Conductor took her hand
Faithful servants I rescue
From the
barren forsaken land.
