Our Dear Campbell
Covid has taken its toll
MAY I LEAN OVER your GATE
And BARE MY SOUL

While farmers are suffering
With unjust legislation
MENTAL HEALTH issues
Are Steadily in Escalation

……And prolonged lockdowns
May erode away slowly
Our ability to function
Healthily with stability

Are we like battery hens
Locked in a small cage
With artificial light
These don’t live to an old age

……Recently A distraught person
Wearing her mask
Said “I can not come near you”
And why, I did ask?

“Have you had the jab?
Of this many have died
I may catch your microchip”
With great anxiety, she replied

The look on her face
Was full of fear and concern
I remained in stunned silence
Willing to learn and discern

……Maybe mental health issues
Should take first priority
Along with sound common sense
Oh to laugh at our stupidity

Why talk to the wall
Or cry all alone
Many are now LONELY
In their isolation moan and groan

For these know that our FUTURE
WILL NOT BE THE SAME
For anyone of us
Who play “The Self Centred Game”

….In the beginning
Who created this earth?
We are given His Holy Spirit
Forgiveness - Redemption - NEW BIRTH

Also FREE WILL
To chose RIGHT or WRONG
Under the shadow of His wings
We His children, belong
