She Sat By The Garden Gate

She sat on the Park Bench
By the garden gate
With head bowed low
In a remorseful state

She addressed her Maker
From the depth of her being
"Father I HONOUR you"
Natures beauty she was seeing

Then she waited.....
"More that anything", she said
"My LOVE for you
Is from my heart, not my head"

Submission?
To your will and WAYS
TOTAL FREEDOM
ABUNDANT LIFE this displays

WOW! She thought
As she wiped away her tears
On earth we grow
Your LOVE banishes all fears

........"Oh Elizabeth"
She raised her head
"Are you Intimidated
By that which you said?"

"Please forgive me"
She ventured to speak
"Angry self centred will
Without you, oh so weak"

She placed her head
In her hands on her knees
"Without you we are nothing"
Restore us, Lord please

Religious concepts
Swirling around in her head
Many taught from birth
But NOW she believes what He said

"Come to me...
And I will give you REST"
Your yolk is easy
Yeilded, so blest

I in you
And you In me
By your Unmerited favour
You set us FREE

........He sat beside her
Time stood still
Consecrated to Him
Submissive to His will
