Moody Meg

Moody Meg
Was morose, and unfulfilled
Her anxious thoughts
Just would not be stilled

She was wasting her life
On stressful activities
And every night
She would get on her knees
And spill out her pain
In a torrent of words
And then she would wonder
Have any of my requests been heard?

She begged for forgiveness
For all she’d done wrong
Then continued to sing
Her ‘poor me’ song

She longed for a miracle
To change her instantly
With little or no effort
So she could live, contentedly

…The years rolled by
And tears flowed freely
Then A GREAT STORM HIT
That challenged her maturity

Her lovely nest
Fell to the ground
And was washed away
Amidst a thundering sound

Oh, she wailed
In a state of shock
Humbled herself
And on Manu’s door did knock

Totally bedraggled
Bereft of every thing
She stood in silence
New clothes to her he did bring

She sniffled and shivered
So He sat her by HIS FIRE
The maid asked sweetly
What else do you require?

Many thoughts
Rushed through her stressed head
‘I am no longer sure’
She finally said

…Three days past
And the sun was shining
Within THE ORDER of Manu’s home
She even ceased whining

Yes I will rebuild my nest
In a NEW and different way
And remodel my life
By what Manu does say…

His words are few
His example is GREAT
I will lift my head high
As I walk through HIS GARDEN GATE

…She now knew in her heart
This one profound truth
Thank, praise and worship our Maker
Under our OWN ROOF.
