In Times Like These When Men Grow Old
VIBES FROM THE TRIBES
In times like these when men grow bold
And do gross things that leave me cold
I groan within and wonder why
And many is the time I’ve wanted to cry
Why is it that man cannot live at peace
Why is it that wars never seem to cease
Why is it that I feel so helpless within
Why is it that there is so much sin?
Our world is such a beautiful place
Yet man’s behaviour is a real disgrace
All the pettiness bickering and strife
Man unable to live with his own wife
In the Bible in the Samaritan story
Man falls far short of our Lord’s glory
Self is the ogre buried deep within
Self the motive behind so much sin
Oh that man would learn to care
To lift those near him caught in despair
What a difference this would make
To learn to give instead of just take
