Many Samuels
Walk this earth right now
They have heard God’s voice
Know His grace and His power

They are strategically placed
For times like these
Many are trudging the wilderness
And are falling exhausted on their knees

Their cries for help
Seem to fall on deaf ears
Who knows the depths of their anguish
Their agonising fears and tears

Who can relieve them
From this tormenting soul pain
In the depth of their extremity
Faithful they will remain.

Who has the ‘understanding’
When many pray and give advice
As we identify with our Saviour
All may not for a time, be nice

As we walk in His footsteps
We become like Him
His Son’s who have carried an intercession
Now know how to win

For a time, for a season
In the ‘dark night of the soul’
We may lose faith, hope and vision
When being prepared for our unique role

..Take these hands
Take this life
Teach us your ways
That we may help eleviate mankinds strife…

Transformed not destroyed
Healed sealed and made whole
Our selfish nature dealt with
Entwined with our Maker, our goal.

Many Samuels
Will be at His banqueting feast
Empowered equipped
To now conquer the beast

They’ll bring others to wholeness
Enlightenment and peace
Beacons of God’s Glory
That for all eternity will never cease.
