* Upon The Bottom Step *

Upon the bottom step
Of her carriage she sat
With her head in her hands
And her Papillon on her lap

Her ongoing dilemma
The Human condition
Seen all around her
And her painful transition

.......He placed His Mighty Hand
Upon her shoulder that day
Who else could comprehend
Mankind's trauma! Earth's decay

Attributes of our Old Nature
Blinds and binds
To the art of human kindness
Why do some remain blind

.......Two thousand years
Since Jesus came to earth
Lowly shepherds
Were first told of His birth

With Great POWER and GLORY
The manifestation of God's TRUTH
YET NAIVE HUMAN BEINGS
STILL HANKER FOR PROOF

.........The Conductor, our helper
Remains faithful and true
He teaches and guides us
Empowering me and you.

.......within His Presence
Is Rest and Perfect Peace
"Come to your carriage
My beloved, Lets Feast"

.......The table was prepared!
In His Glorious Light
As she lifted her head slowly
This Light pierced the dark night
