After the Great Wedding

After the Great Wedding breakfast
The King and Queen went home
They were the first to leave
After the bouquets had been thrown

As they were now very old
They needed to rest
But no one knew... No one had guessed
Until a servant knocked loudly
On the outside door
"There has been an awful accident
And the Kings leg is sore and raw"

He was very upset... And could hardly convey
Just what had happened... At the end of that happy day...

Reggie and Ronnie looked on
As the fairy footman tried to heave
The carriage off the old King
But would you believe
Absolutely nothing... That they could do
Could relieve his suffering... So they began to cry too
Then the Prince said calmly
Ask those two moreporks over there
Looking through two blades of grass
For I am aware
They have strong beaks
And in an instant it was done
They used their beaks to lift it off
As they obeyed the directions of the Kings Son.

Bed time...! Bed time...!
They heard Mama Morpork call
Two Morporks full of wonderment
Into a deep peaceful sleep did fall.
