While Walking on the Driveway

While walking on the driveway
Near my home in the hills
The Silkie chicks were chirping
The air was fresh and still

A very naughty thought
Entered my wearied head
No I would not do this
To myself, I said

…..Then I sensed Jesus
Standing in front of me
The smile upon His face
Bought comfort immediately

Now very aware
He knows our every thought
Then I realised afresh
All that He had taught

……..Without pain and sadness
A broken anguished heart
Dreams demolished
Emotionally falling apart!

Unexpected challenges
Teach us something new
Wisdom. Insight. Empathy
A sound compassionate point of view

That which I deservedI
He did not do to me
The many lessons he taught
He knew I practiced faithfully

……..The horrible thought
“Should I smack His Hand”
For allowing so many challenges
Not what I’d planned

All things eventually
Work together for good
For those who love Him
And seek HIS WAYS as we should
