AROUND IN CIRCLES

Around in circles
Dogs chasing their tail?
Over stormy seas
We sometimes sail

Unrealistic work ethic
Destined to fail?
This societies standards?
Our own coffin, we nail?

.......The forest lanes were muddy
The storm had long gone
Those she loved had told her
What she had done wrong

Overwhelmed by sadness
She walked alone
The trail seemed endless
Then she heard someone groan

She listened intently
It was the beginning of dawn
A dog bounded towards her
Whimpering and forlorn

In the dogs eyes
She saw "A Pleading"
Something was amiss
Her body language she was reading

......She followed the dog
To a clearing in the bush
Sunrise peeped through the trees
Through much debris she did push

There huddled together
Was a mother and child
Compassion filled her heart
Had they been there while?

The dog lay beside them
Like their protector and friend
She greeted them lovingly
And listened to what they said

......Am going to see Manu
Have been dawdling on the way
My heart is also broken
Confused by what some say

Please come with me
He has a warm home
Everyone is welcome
Here we are not alone

.......The maid saw them coming
Whistled to the dog
Knew not who they were
Because of the early morning Fog

Her highly trained dog
She gave a morning treat
Unaware that day
Royalty she would meet

.....Two precious daughters
Of the most high
Emotionally distraught
Banished, accused but why?

"Some know not
What they do"
Why react, make excuses?
More about them, than you!

........when Manu saw them
He bowed his head
"Welcome home Daughters"
"Delighted to see you", he said

"Did they not know
You belong to The King?
Treasured daughter's
Who honour Him in all things"

"Please forgive them",
Manu said
