On The Ornate Garden SeatOn the ornate seat
In their garden she sat
He knew why she was here
She needed to chat
Was her garment old?
In need of repair?
Of His compassion and empathy
She was acutely aware
.....As she waited
That morning hour
She pondered on His Greatness
His Majesty, His Power.....
The beauty of His Creation
Was all around
When He sat beside her
She did not utter a sound
With absolute devotion
She sat at His feet
Bowed her head low
Before their eyes did meet
She perceived He understood
The deep cry of her heart
Oh what could she say?
Oh where would she start?
Religious Jargon for her
Was no longer an option
She belonged to Him
By adoption
.....’You are my Majesty
My beloved, my King
All that concerns me
To you I bring”
All of a sudden
She was aware of her dress
Immediately this issue
She did address
He placed His hand – Upon her shoulder
His warmth and strength – Activated all He had told her
Overwhelmed
She knew not what to say
Then she stammered these words
“I need to know how to pray”
Just how do we communicate
With the King of Kings
With maturity and integrity
Without the taint of “This World’s things”
In His arms He took her
And tears were shed
“With the skills I have given you
Set my people FREE He then said”
That which I have taught you
Joyously give
My Precious Handmaiden
