Dear Pastor

Dear Pastor
With my family I stay
They attend church
And teach children every day

What a joy for a mother
To be with those she knows
So when her son-in-law leads worship
Off to church she goes


.....Within the church systems
Are many devout souls
These fulfil their call
Their own unique roles

.....Many sit in the car park
Even when welcomed inside!
God’s word we cherish
Under His shadow we abide Psalm 91

.....At dawn IN THE GARDEN
She presented THIS NOTE
As a child she’d been taught
The scriptures by rote!

“Oh my Elizabeth
Your cup I fill
Over a lifetime you sought
Your Heavenly Father’s will”

“Be Still and know - That I am God
With my Gospel of Peace - Countless millions will be shod”

.....She visited many places
Often sat on the back pew
Quietly observing how her Master
Dispensed the wine that is NEW

Luke Chapter two verses 25 to 38


.....Anna stayed in The Temple
She was a widow and old
By God’s anointing upon her
She spoke what she’d been told

As she stood beside Simeon - Both proclaimed the coming King
The Saviour, the Messiah - Ruler over EVERYTHING.
