The Fig Tree In Her Garden

The fig tree in her garden
Was once a small stick
Now it’s a large tree
With a trunk strong and thick

Tiny green figs
Amidst green leaves appeared
Would the birds devour these
This reality she feared

Lovingly she protected them
Until they were mature
The nutrients these contained
Many deficiencies would cure

As winter approached
The leaves turned to gold
Those that fell on the ground
Were still attractive when old!

.....Adam and Eve wore fig leaves
When disobedience released a curse
God sent his son here
He put that curse into reverse

.....Either the fruit had been eaten
Or it was in barren ground
Jesus cursed that fig tree
As no fruit was found

.....So her precious fig tree
She will nourish and nurture
That it may sustain life
For children of the future

“But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law.
When He was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing.”

Galatians Chapter 3 verse 13

“The leaves were used for medicine to heal the nations.
No longer will there be a curse upon anything.
For the throne of God and of the Lamb will be there, and his servants will worship Him...”

Revelation Chapter 22 verses 2 & 3
